ABOUT BEEF HARVESTS

At Texas Ridge, we are a regenerative farm FIRST, and a meat producer SECOND. What that means is that the decisions we make regarding the beef we harvest are based on variables beyond simple demand for our beef. Consequently, we may or may not be able to fill your beef order in any given year, or at any given time. We encourage you to complete a beef request form where we keep track of everyone interested in purchasing a whole or half beef from us when it's available. You will be notified by email as soon as we have an animal scheduled for harvest, and if it's a good fit for you at that time, we will accept your deposit and the beef is yours.
Things that affect the number of animals we harvest in a given season include: the animal's age, gender, physical condition, and pregnancy status, as well as the forage quality and quantity, land and soil needs, and finally, availability of processing.
