One of the reasons Texas Ridge pork and eggs are so delicious is the high-quality feed we provide our animals, which we custom grind from locally-grown, non-GMO grains and legumes, enhanced with custom-formulated minerals for optimal health. Now, Texas Ridge is making this top quality feed available to backyard farmers and fellow producers.

 Our 100% non-GMO grain mix is a custom blend of locally-grown barley*, peas and sometimes lentils. We formulate it to reach between 14% and 20% protein, depending on the ration. We grind the feed and add a custom mineral supplement created by a certified livestock nutritionist for our specific regional nutritional needs, which contains an optimal combination of vitamins, minerals and digestive enzymes. Feed is non-GMO and contains NO CORN and NO SOY.
*May also contain wheat or oats.

Grain is sold in 1000-pound totes. There is a $25 deposit per tote bag, which can be refunded when empty bag is returned in usable condition. Sales tax charged on feed orders, except to tax exempt producers or resellers with ST-101 on file.

Our ruminant mix for goats and cattle is coarsely ground to slow digestion in the rumen and prevent accidental over-consumption. It contains the same ingredients as our Texas Ridge Base Mix. Ask about pricing on customized blends for beef or dairy animals.
*The mineral we use contains copper, which is a toxic to sheep. Do not feed TR Brand feeds containing copper to sheep.*

Call or text us to place your feed order and make an appointment to pick up your tote(s). You can request a pick-up time on one of the following loading days:
  • Wednesdays from 8:00 AM -10:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Fridays from 8:00 AM -10:00 AM and 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM
  • Saturdays from 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
We are happy to work with your schedule for pick ups, to ensure our staff and equipment are available to load your tote at your appointed time, but we appreciate the courtesy of notification if you will be late or need to cancel. No-call-no-show appointments will not be rescheduled.

**Texas Ridge employs the use of livestock guardian dogs to protect our property and livestock. If you plan to bring your dog when you pick up grain, please be sure it is secured in your vehicle, so our dogs don't mistake it for a threat.**
