What is Texas Ridge Sausage Club?
Sausage Club is a buyers club that gives members get access to Texas Ridge all-natural pastured pork sausage at a discount. Sausage Club Members become shareholders in several select Texas Ridge hogs, which we will have processed into sausage on your behalf.
Is sausage made with the same pork I buy at the farmers market?
YES! The hogs used for Sausage Club have been raised their entire lives in our program, under our management. They receive the same non-GMO grain ration as our retail pigs, and are raised without chemicals, pesticides, medications, hormones or vaccines. A pig becomes a candidate for Sausage Club because it is too big, too small, too mature, or in some other way no longer suitable for our program, and doesn’t meet the criteria for our regular harvests.
Commitment:
Sausage Club Membership is for 6-month terms, which take place from January-June (enrollment in December/January) or July-December (enrollment in June/July) There are no early cancellations. Members will be given an opportunity to renew their membership during the enrollment periods.
Cost:
6-month membership fee: $20.00.
One share = 120 pounds of sausage (100 pounds bulk, 20 pounds link) $800+tax*
Half share = 60 pounds of sausage (50 pounds bulk, 10 pounds link) $400+tax*
Share pricing breaks down to $6.00/pound for bulk sausage and $10.00/pound for links. This saves members $2.00 per pound over Texas Ridge's retail sausage prices.
*If link sausage isn't available, members will receive equivalent value in additional bulk sausage.

Payment terms:
Once the $20 membership fee is paid, members can pay for their entire share up front, or they can choose to pay in installments over 5 months. Members who pay up front and take delivery of their entire share at once get first selection of the available sausage flavors and receive an additional 5% discount! Remaining sausage flavors will be divided among shareholders who receive monthly disbursements.
Storage & delivery:
Sausage will come frozen and packaged in 1-pound packages. Sausage Club pick ups will take place at Texas Ridge in Deary or at a drop point location to be determined. Members have 2 options for claiming their sausage shares:
- Members can pick up their entire share of sausage at once. Members who choose this option get first pick of the sausage flavors AND they save an additional 5% on the price of their share.
- Members can pick up their share on a monthly basis divided over 6 months. For full share holders, this would be 10 pounds per month for 6 months; half share would get 5 pounds per month for 6 months. This option is perfect for people with limited freezer storage.
